Message Feramic clutch material came out in the 1930's and was designed for tractors to hold lots of torque. The material works awesome for holding power when fully engaged, so it makes a great tractor clutch or for towing heavy loads.
It is not great for a performance car clutch because it can not handle being slipped. It melts very easy, slipping the material creates insane heat very fast.
